Five Past Dover Winners Looking To Cash In This Weekend

A total of 39 different NASCAR Cup Series drivers have won at Dover Motor Speedway; 22 of 39 drivers have won multiple times. Nine of those 39 NASCAR Cup Series Dover Motor Speedway winners are active this weekend. And, amongst those nine drivers are Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr, Chase Elliott, Brad Keselowski and Kurt Busch who have yet to win this season.

Truex, Jr., who last won at Dover in 2019, has three stage wins which leads the series but is looking for that final stage win. The three time winner at this track is in the top three in most of the statistical categories among his competitors. This could be Martin’s weekend… or will it be a Hendrick Motorsports sweep?

Hendrick Motorsports has historically been strong at Dover. Three out of their four drivers have found victory lane at the Monster Mile with Alex Bowman being the defending champion of this race. William Byron has yet to capture the checkers but has three top tens and two top five finishes. Add the fact that he is one of the hottest drivers in the series right now and you likely will see those two at the front joined by Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson.
