Checker Schuck’s Kragen NHRA Nationals Fact Sheet

WHAT: 24th annual Checker Schuck’s Kragen NHRA Nationals presented by
Castrol, the second of 24 events in the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series
Countdown to the Championship. Professional competitors in three
categories earn points leading to 2008 NHRA POWERade Series world
championships.

WHERE: Firebird International Raceway, Chandler, Ariz. Track is located
off Interstate 10 from the north at exit 162A (Maricopa). From the
south, take exit 162 (Maricopa). Follow the signs.

WHEN: Friday through Sunday, Feb. 22-24

PURSE: Cash and contingency awards of more than $1.5 million

SCHEDULE:
FRIDAY, Feb. 22 (Qualifying Sessions 1-2)
Pro Stock: 1:30 p.m., 4 p.m.; Top Fuel & Funny Car: 2 p.m., 4:30 p.m.
SATURDAY, Feb. 23 (Qualifying Sessions 3-4)
Pro Stock: Noon, 2:30 p.m.; Top Fuel & Funny Car: 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m.
SUNDAY, Feb. 24 – Pre-race ceremonies, 10 a.m.; Final eliminations begin
at 11 a.m.

TELEVISION:
Sunday, Feb. 24, ESPN2 and ESPN2HD will televise 90 minutes of
qualifying highlights at 2 a.m. (ET).
Sunday, Feb. 24, ESPN2 and ESPN2HD will televise NHRA Race Day, a
30-minute pre-race show, at 12:30 p.m. (ET)
Sunday, Feb. 24, ESPN2 and ESPN2HD will televise three hours of final
eliminations coverage at 7 p.m. (ET).
