Putting The “Fest” In Milwaukee IndyFest

Racing and Much More, June 15 and 16

The Milwaukee IndyFest will feature two days of exciting race action from the IZOD IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights cars Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16 at the Milwaukee Mile. In addition to the racing, IndyFest will also include a long list of activities and attractions throughout the two-day festival.

In addition to numerous food vendors and picnic areas throughout the facility, there will be a number of unique sections inside the confines of the historic one-mile oval. To buy tickets or to learn more about Milwaukee IndyFest, click to the official event website at: http://www.MilwaukeeIndyFest.com. (You will also find high-resolution versions of the graphics included in this email at the official website under the “Race Information” tab. Look for “IndyFest Grounds.”)

Family Fun Zone: The Family Fun Zone will incorporate a series of activities designed to provide fun for everyone. These include: a zip-line for an exhilarating ride through the sky, bounce houses, face painters and stilt walkers as well as raised viewing platforms to watch the racing action in turn three of the oval. Expect to see and hear the Wisconsin Badger marching band throughout the infield Saturday morning.

Midway: Enjoy the rides and attractions in the midway section located alongside the GoDaddy.com backstretch. Ride the IndyFest Ferris wheel, cause mayhem in the bumper cars or enjoy a more leisurely ride on the merry-go-round and many other rides and games.

IZOD IndyCar Fan Village : Adjacent to the midway will be the IZOD IndyCar Fan Village, where fans can enjoy interactive IndyCar displays. Driver autograph sessions are scheduled for Friday evening and Saturday morning.

The Snake Pit: Not interested in the kiddie rides? Stop by the Snake Pit for a cold Coors Light, the official beer of Milwaukee IndyFest. Restricted to adults age 21 and over, the Snake Pit includes a DJ and elevated Party Decks for prime viewing of turn two of the Milwaukee Mile.

Coors Light Concert Stage: The IndyFest concert stage will be located inside of turn one. Smash Mouth headlines the musical lineup, as they bring their California party sound and a string of hits for a post-race concert Saturday afternoon following the IndyFest 225. The concert is FREE for all Saturday ticket holders.

The Battle of the Bands takes the stage Friday evening following the 100-lap Firestone Indy Lights race. Celebrity judges will help choose the winning act from eight of the Milwaukee-area’s finest music acts. The winning act receives a cash prize and the opportunity to perform a pre-race concert Saturday morning. The winning band will also earn a booking at the 45th annual Milwaukee Summerfest, the world’s largest musical festival, held at Henry Maier Festival Park at the BMO Harris Pavilion in Milwaukee. The second-place act will also receive a cash prize.

The Marcus Club: If you prefer to see IndyCars up-close while the crews work on the machines, paddock passes are available for both days of the event. A limited number of pit passes are also available. For the true VIP experience, fans can also purchase a spot in the Marcus Club, presented in conjunction with Marcus Hotels and Resorts, inside the paddock area.
